The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Soldiers Party

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with deep backstory, a wide array of characters, and a thrilling plot showcasing angels, demons, and sinister influences increasing in strength within the urban setting.

Warning: Revealing details for the third episode of the new season lie ahead.

The Warrior Group Unveiled

The third episode finished on a huge suspense moment and presented the initial group of adventurers who will split off from the central cast to undertake their separate journey, distinct from the remaining groups.

The Soldiers table features the determined fighter (portrayed by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

Given a large ensemble, it was clear from the beginning that keeping everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.

Hence, the first four episodes of the new season serve as an Overture, connecting the personal journeys before splitting into three separate parties: Soldiers, Planners, and Explorers.

Characteristics of the Warrior Group

Per the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for players who prefer a typically action-packed fight-heavy narrative style where diplomatic options are scarce.

Upon first impression, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might look out of place, but the events of episode 3 demonstrate why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the warrior group.

Motivations for Departure

First, the party has a clear idea where to go next after a brutal initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.

An old friend of Thjazi—whose demise initiated the story’s plot—used the enemy for his personal gain, entering Thjazi’s hideout, striking Thimble, and stealing all the magical artifacts to auction.

The traitor then cleared his liabilities and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the city, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Individual Reasons

Moreover, each adventurer has a specific drive to exit the urban setting:

  • The rogue, as the companion and trusted friend, seeks retribution.
  • The knowledgeable figure has experience in the region and advises that it is a hostile place.
  • The warrior and The cleric, having resisted his family’s wishes to execute Teor and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
  • However, their reputation as key figures in the powerful family could help the party reach areas they normally couldn’t.
  • Moreover, The fighter pledged a eternal obligation to The savior for his salvation and will now follow him everywhere.

Fugitives

Lastly, all of them are sought by the authorities that govern the setting for a multiple motives, making remaining behind too risky:

  • Thimble and The hero are notorious outlaws.
  • The strong figure and The healer defied the influential house and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • The fighter is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.

This results in them little choice but to head to the northern region in pursuit of the antagonist.

Future Episodes

From the recent installment’s follow-up content, we discover that the Soldiers table will not appear next week, leaving the other eight participants to round up the Seekers and Planners tables.

Viewers can anticipate learning which players will be in which group in the season’s concluding setup installment, released on October 24.
