Hazbin Hotel's Creator Is Aware of Fans' Second Season Bingo Cards — With Some Good News

The much-anticipated second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel debuts on Prime Video soon, and audience theories has been rampant.

Season 1 presents a large cast of personalities residing in the afterlife, sets them at odds with musical numbers detailing their conflicts, and builds tense rivalries and angsty, affectionate connections that drive audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for the new season differ greatly, but certain threads emerge over and over: Will Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with fan service specifically in mind," the showrunner stated recently. "However I feel like me being a fan of my own show means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator says her big-picture plan is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series.

That might mean fans have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how fast the new season progresses, and how much of what they're anticipating unfolds now.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some really amazing reveals, some really cool backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about season 2 — particularly in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've seen a few fans create a bingo card about the new season," she says. "Obviously I can't post it, but I've already completed some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on Prime Video on October 29.
